Nepal Journal of Mathematical Sciences (NJMS) is the official peer-reviewed journal published by the School of Mathematical Sciences ,Tribhuvan University. It is devoted to publish the original research papers as well as critical survey articles related to all branches of pure and applied mathematical sciences. The journal aims to reflect the latest developments in issues related to the mathematical and computational methods and techniques to solve various problems in the areas but not limited to Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Engineering, Data Analysis, Biology, Finance, Banking, Business, Operations Research, and Economics, etc. Contributions are related to emphasis on unsolved problems and open questions in Applied Mathematics, Mathematical Modelling, Industrial Mathematics, Biomathematics, Applied Statistics, Applied Probability, Operations Research, Theoretical Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Mathematical Biology, Financial Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Mathematical Economics and many more disciplines. NJMS is published in English and it is open to authors around the world regardless of the nationality. It is published at least once a year, i.e. in October. NJMS articles are freely available on online in PDF after publication through open access.

NJMS welcomes high-quality original research papers and survey articles in all areas of Mathematical Sciences and real – life applications at all levels including new theories, techniques and applications to science, industry and society. The authors should justify that the theoretical as well as computational results they claim really contribute to Mathematical Sciences or in real- life applications.
Although, there is no page limit for a paper to submit in NJMS , it is strongly suggested that a complete manuscript be no less than 5 pages and no more than 20 pages (10 pt, including figures, tables, and references) as mentioned in the paper Template. However, this can be extended with the acceptance of the respective referees and the Editor-in- Chief. The submitted manuscript should meet the standard of the NJMS.

1. Required files Manuscript must be prepared in Microsoft Word format (For Template Click Here) or LATEX (For Template Click Here) in the prescribed format with given page limit as mentioned in the template.
2. Cover Page Manuscript of a paper should have a cover page providing the title of the paper. The title should be concise, specific, accurate and relevant that reflects the content not exceeding 20 words in length.
3. Authors Names and Institutional Affiliations This should include the full names (with no titles or qualifications), institutional addresses (Department, Institute, City, Post/Zip code, Country), and email addresses of authors. Authors and affiliations must be linked using superscript numerals. The corresponding author should also be indicated.
4. Abstract Each article is to be preceded by an abstract up to maximum 250 words, that highlights the objectives, methods, results, and conclusions of the research work. Abstract should not contain any images or equations.
5. Key Words To identify the subjects under which the article may be indexed, 4-6 key pertinent words should be provided.
6. Introduction The introduction briefly describe the problem, purpose, significance and output of the research work, including hypotheses being tested. The current state of the research field should be reviewed carefully and key publications should be cited.
7. Materials and Methods It describes the research plan, the materials (or subjects), and the method used. New methods and protocols should be described in detail while well-established methods can be briefly described and appropriately cited. It explains in detail the data, sample and population, and the variables used.
8. Results The results section should provide details of all of the experiments that are required to support the conclusions of the paperwork in a clear and logical sequence. If tables are used, do not duplicate tabular data in text, but do describe important trends and points.
9. Discussions This section should describe the limitations of the research plan, material (or subject), and methods, considering both the objective and the outcome of the study. When results differ from those of previous research works, explain the discrepancy. Discussion can also be combined with results.
10. Figures and Tables Figures and Tables are to be separately numbered, titled in the text serially. Each Figure/Table should be placed at proper place of the text.
11. Conclusions This section is not mandatory, but can be added to the manuscript if the discussion is unusually long or complex.
12. Acknowledgments Acknowledgment is not mandatory. Acknowledgment should be included at the very end of the paper before the references.
13. References The reference list appears at the end of the paper. It provides the information necessary for a reader to locate and retrieve any source cited in the body of the paper. Only published or accepted manuscript should be included in the reference list. Papers that have been submitted but not yet accepted should not be cited. NJMS accepts books, journals, and conference manuscripts only for citation. Authors are advised not to use websites URL references in the works cited list. The authors are advised the following points:
14. Number the references (numbers in square brackets) in the alphabetical order from the authors list.
15. Indicate references by number(s) in square brackets in line with the text. The actual authors can be referred to, but the reference number(s) must always be given.
16. Use Italic font for the ‘journals and the proceedings’ in which the paper has been published. Mark Italic font on the title of ‘books and dissertations’.
17. Please start references in the text in ascending order of the form [1], [2],[3],… For example, “… Beaumont et al. [1]. … studied [2, 3]. Faraji and Nourouzi [2] obtained …

If a manuscript has been previously published it is not acceptable for publication in NJMS. Submission of a manuscript to NJMS should be explicitly authenticated by the corresponding author. Submitted articles must not have been previously published or be currently under consideration for publication. Moreover, the manuscript should not be submitted anywhere else during the pendency of the review process which will take about three months, in general. Authors should submit PDF file produced from the manuscript in Microsoft Word format (For word Template Click Here) or LATEX format (For Latex Template Click Here) . Only electronic submissions through emails are accepted. It is noted that the hard-copies of the work will not be accepted. Paper length is limited to 20 pages including all figures and tables. However, this can be extended with the acceptance of the respective referees, communicating editor and the Editor-in- Chief regarding the standard of the research work. At the time of submission, authors are requested to include the list of 3-5 panellists of experts of the related research area; however, the Editor-in- Chief may have his/her own choice for the referees. Nepal Journal of Mathematical Sciences- NJMS welcomes the original research articles and critical review papers for the issue of October 2020 to any area of mathematical sciences like Applied Mathematics, Mathematical Modelling, Industrial Mathematics, Biomathematics, Applied Statistics, Operation Research, Theoretical Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Mathematical Biology, Financial Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Mathematical Economics and many more disciplines. Manuscripts submitted to NJMS will be believed as they have not been published and are not under consideration for publication elsewhere.

Authors are requested to submit their papers in the form of Microsoft word format (.doc or .docx). If authors have used Latex software for article preparation, they are requested to submit it in PDF format.

NJNS strongly follows the policy against simultaneous submission and copyright policy. Authors should ensure in written to the Editor-in- Chief that the manuscript submitted to NJMS is not simultaneously submitted or will not be submitted to any other journal or publisher. Once a manuscript is accepted or published in the NJMS, it becomes its property, whose permission is mandatory for any operations covered by the Copyright Act.

Hard-copy submissions will not be considered for further evaluation. Authors are strongly encouraged to submit manuscripts electronically to NJMS through the Editor-in- Chief. This will allow quicker and more efficient processing of the manuscript for further review process. As soon as a member of the editorial board in the respective research area accepts the request of Editor-in- Chief, the Editor-in- Chief will send the manuscript to him/her for further review process. The authors will be acknowledged the recipient of submitted manuscript.
The Editor-in- Chief will forward the paper for review process or communicate back to the author if the manuscript meets the aim and scope of the journal otherwise the manuscript will be rejected, or should be rewritten and resubmitted for further review process. If the manuscript is forwarded for the review process, the authors will be notified by the Editor-in- Chief for the specific purpose. The reviewing processes will be informed to the corresponding author by the Editor-in- Chief. The Editor-in- Chief will proceed forward for further evaluation process among the experts recommended by the author himself or any other experts. The Editor-in- Chief will assign manuscript to three referees for the review. The reviewers will write a report to the Editor-in- Chief as their recommendations accepted or to be accepted with minor revision or to be considered with major revision or be rejected lacking the standard of the journal. The same rule applies to the papers authored by the editorial board members. It is scheduled that the overall review process will be finalised within three months of submission. The referees will be requested and reminded by the Editor-in- Chief accordingly. The reviewers are informed about the authors through the paper submission; however, authors do not know the reviewers. At the end of the review process, the Editor-in- Chief immediately informs the author about the acceptance or rejection of the manuscript. On acceptance, the author is expected to incorporate the modifications suggested by the reviewers (if any) and submit a soft copy (both tex and pdf files and all figures) of the final revised manuscript to the editor in communication.
